<div>Emily Bess Singletary Quinn, 89, of Rusk passed into the loving arms of Jesus November 18, 2024.&nbsp; She was born July 6, 1935 in Rusk to Watters and Lela Beard Singletary.&nbsp; She graduated from Rusk High School in 1953.&nbsp; Ms. Emily met Jack Quinn while he was running a portable skating rink in the Rusk area.&nbsp; They were married Sept. of 1955 in Rusk.&nbsp; She worked for Vernon Long Insurance Company until they closed and she went to work at the Rusk State Hospital where she worked until she retired. &nbsp; She loved skating, fishing and travelling with her girlfriends.&nbsp; Mrs. Quinn worked for Wallace-Thompson funeral home as an ambassador during her retirement where she enjoyed visiting with folks from around Rusk.&nbsp; She is a member of the Sardis Missionary Baptist Church. &nbsp;<br>Mrs. Quinn is survived by her husband, Jack J. Quinn of Rusk; daughter: Kim Quinn Goodwin and husband Terry (Dip) of Carthage; granddaughter: Casey Watson and husband Josh of Rusk;&nbsp; great grandchildren: Bailey O’Bryan and husband Clancey of Carthage, Blake McAdams of Houston, Clayton McAdams of Houston; special friends: Melody Cumby and Lydia Wolfe; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.&nbsp; She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister: Mary Nell Norman and husband Spooks; her brother: Watters Singletary, Jr. and wife Gerry Singletary.&nbsp;<br>Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 22, 2024 at the Chapel of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home with Bro. Mick Guess officiating.&nbsp; Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.&nbsp; Pallbearers will be Neill Holcomb, Mike Stanley, Keith Issacs, Brody Norton, Darrell Martin, Brad Turlington.&nbsp; Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Edwards, Steve Wolfe, and Jack Carroll.&nbsp; &nbsp;<br><br></div>
